Individual counseling sessions are 50 minutes long and take place virtually. Our focus will vary depending on the day. This might look like learning specific tools to help shift old patterns that you are ready to change. Or, it might involve getting more in touch with your body and learning what’s really going on when those thoughts are spiraling in your head. Just know that however you show up is welcome.

Online therapy allows you to connect with a therapist online, through a secure video platform. Meeting your therapist online gets rid of travel time, parking, and reduces scheduling issues. It also takes out factors such as weather and discomfort in public waiting rooms. All in all, it is more convenient. Online therapy has been proven to be effective in addressing a wide range of mental health concerns and can be just as beneficial as in-person therapy for many individuals.
To participate in online therapy, you will need a reliable internet connection, a device with a camera and microphone, and a private and quiet space where you can have your sessions without interruptions. I use a convenient, secure, and HIPAA compliant platform called Simple Practice to provide online therapy sessions. It is easy to use and I am available for guidance to ensure a smooth and seamless online therapy experience.

The length of time in therapy varies from person to person depending on your unique needs and goals. Most clients I work with benefit from working together a minimum of 6 months, and some clients prefer to continue to work together on a long term basis.

I am in-network with Aetna and UnitedHealthCare.
While I am out-of-network with other insurance companies, I am happy to provide you with a superbill to send to your insurance for reimbursement. That means you’re responsible for the fees at the time of session, and depending on your plan, your insurance might cover a percentage of it.
If you call the “out-of-network” number on the back of your card they can give you more information. Ask them where to direct a superbill.

You will be charged the full fee ($150) if you reschedule or cancel your session within 24 hours of your appointment time. Please reach out to me at least 24 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule your session time if you have a conflict.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
A GFE is available upon scheduling or upon request.
